Training and development
Our training and development programme is available to all prospective and existing Foster Carers.
We aim to support you by providing comprehensive training to give you the confidence and skills you need to best look after the children in your care.
We offer a wide range of learning opportunities both face to face and online which include introductory level sessions through to in depth courses on specialist topics such as 'Foundations for attachment' and a therapeutic support group.
Once you begin your journey to become a Foster Carer you will be provided log in details to our learning management system and online learning portal. Additional information will also be provided via your supervising social worker and a training plan tailored to meet your needs.
